Foglifter is a biannual compendium of the most dynamic, urgent queer writing today.
“Foglifter showed me a better world was possible and made me feel brave enough to write toward it.” – @luizagurley, Foglifter’s Managing Editor 🌈Why should you support Foglifter? But Foglifter soon introduced me to a growing, vibrant community of LGBTQIA writers who wrote fearlessly and whom I read voraciously. Only when I took their lead and started letting in the queerness did my poems start to speak with my own voice. And, once I let the queerness in, I started being able to address other seemingly unsayable subjects, such as intergenerational trauma and healing, the constant, low-level terror of inhabiting a female body, and the violent racial legacy of whiteness in the American south. Foglifter showed me a better world was possible and made me feel brave enough to write toward it.”Image description: This graphic features a testimonial by Luiza Flynn-Goodlett.
